

He sired 227 foals in his career at stud and, beginning with Volume 18 of Stud Book, appeared on stud book research lists six times. In addition, he is the leading domestic-bred sire of stallions appearing on stud book research lists, with thirty of his sons and nine grandsons sharing this honor with him. Two of Ferzon’s sons are on the all-time leading sire list for stallions siring 250 or more foals through Volume 44- Gai Parada with 282 foals and Gazon with 441.
Ferzon’s get have done very well in National competition. Those with National Championships include Ga-Rageyma, Canadian National Champion Mare; Gai Parada, U.S. and Canadian National Pleasure Driving Champion and U.S. National Champion Stallion; Gai Trillo, U.S. National Pleasure Driving Champion; Phazon, Canadian National Pleasure Driving Champion; and Gai Duffin, Canadian National Native Costume Champion. Subsequent generations of Ferzon’s National Champion descendants include Gazon’s son Raffon, U.S. National Stallion and English Pleasure Champion, as well as an all-time leading sire of 418 foals; U.S. National Champion Stallion Galizon, sire of the U.S. National Champion Mare Jon-San Judizon; Canadian National Champion Stallion Gai Champion; and the 1983 U.S. National Champion Stallion Arn-Ett Perlane, whose sire Perlezon is an all-time leading sire with 250 foals thus far.
Noted for his own extreme refinement, Ferzon passed a special beauty and type on to his get, and these qualities wills tamp the breed for many generations to come.
